Create-a-Universe is ambitious, and our aim is to give you the players and creators as much power and control over your own work as possible. However, there are some ground rules to make sure that everyone has fun.
#1. CasualRP DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR STOLEN IDEAS AND CONCEPTS. That lies with the submitting player alone. If a representative from another site comes to us and complains that you have stolen something from their site that you weren't supposed to, we will investigate and if you're found guilty then you will be given 24 hours to back up your work before it is deleted.
An example of something that will be considered "stolen" goods is other people's characters being used as anything more than support-characters.
If this happens, you will be warned. If it happens again, you will be banned.
However, it is possible that we will find that what you are using is not in offense in which case we will not take any action and the matter will be left up to you and your plaintiff to settle.
2. Rating. For your submissions, each Universe needs to have an initial rating in order to give us an idea of the kind of content that will be included. You don't always need to strictly stick to the initial rating. Most of them are common sense but they are as follows:
G: No coarse language, no sexual content, no violence. An example would be something like a School Days Simulator RP.
PG: Some mild coarse language, no sexual content, mild violence. An example would be something like a Sports League RP.
PG-13: Some coarse language, mild or no sexual situations, some violence. An example would be a Star Trek or Star Wars RP
R: Coarse Language, some sexual content, violence, blood, gore. Something like a Halo RP, Zombie RP or Mafia RP would fall under this.
3. Be a fair Game Manager. If your players become unhappy with how you are running the game, then chances are they will simply stop playing. However if they instead decide to come to the Admins for help, we will have to have a word with you. Try not to be a Nazi about how you run your Universe. If you want full and total control of everything, then we suggest you stick to the writing section instead of the RPing section.
4. Be a fair player. Alternatively, if a Game Manager tries to tell you that you can't have a lightsaber in a Star Trek RP and you don't listen and they decide to come to us for help, we'll have to have a word with you as well. Be reasonable, and try and keep everyone else's fun in mind too.
5. For both rules 3 and 4 the admins will try to leave you to handle your own stuff until it becomes something that affects the site as a whole or we are asked. We will not police your Universe, that is your job.
6. Inactive Universes will be shut down. There isn't a timeline when this will happen, but if we notice that a Universe goes without any posts for an extended period of time, it'll be cleared out for organization purposes. Note: Your work will not be backed up by the admins beforehand. That is your responsibility.
7. Follow the site rules. Universes that start to turn into cybers, racial attacks or anything remotely similar will be closed, possibly without warning depending on the severity.
8. Stick to your source material. If you are roleplaying Bleach, don't try and turn it into Call of Duty. If you are roleplaying Halo don't try to be a time travelling Greek Spartan. Samurai don't use explosives and Spartans don't time travel.
8a. Unless your particular Universe has that sort of thing as a creative feature as allowed by your Game Manager. If you Game Manager says its okay and it doesn't break site rules, then it's fair game.
=-=
As always, these could change or be expanded at any time. But the most important rule is to be creative and have fun with your work!
