For new and old members this is the rank structure for maintaining the overall heirarchy and command structure within the RP.
Essentially how it works is, if you are starting from scratch, your character will be a Unseated Officer and will work their way up. There isn't any real category for being promoted, except that when the Game Managers notice you have been doing a good job and being consistent and getting along with others, you'll be bumped up.
When you get bumped up a seat, you'll gain new abilities that your character is able to use, such as shunpo, shikai, bankai, and so on. The abilities that each rank has is appropriate of that rank (that way we don't have unseated officers with bankai, for example).
Now, there do exist exceptions to the rule. For example, Orion (aka: Kaji Zecht) is an unseated officer who is currently the strongest character in the game. The reason being that previously he had already climbed the ranks to that level and has chosen a lower rank. He keeps his powers, but is lower in rank than many other characters.
To simplify, you as a player can reach a certain rank (called "Actual Rank") but choose to have your character be a lower rank in-game (called "Chosen Rank"). However, your Chosen Rank cannot be higher than your Actual rank.
Also, CasualRP doesn't support PrC's from Isshin or HD. While the vizards and kidoushuu do exist in-universe, if you wish to keep any of that PrC's bonus powers, you will need to make them your unique powers, which you unlock at various ranks along the way. You don't need to submit these for approval, just make a note of it in your character page.
Now that the explanation is out of the way, these are the ranks:
Unseated Officer
The newest recruits of the Gotei 13, they are the most numerous and all new members will start here. They have a basic skill set and fighting capability to take out average, low level hollows.
Unseated Officers have the following:
- A sealed zanpakuto: A regular sword without any special power or abilities. Usually a katana or european longsword. The design of this sword will remain with your permanantly, so choose wisely.
- Simple Kidou: You have the ability to use Kidou spells under #10 from the Hadou and Bakudou spell lists. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
Twentieth Seated Officer
- Sealed zanpakuto: They may begin to hear whispers from their zanpakuto spirit, but they still have not reached the ability to use shikai yet.
- Novice Kidou: They can use Kidou spells up to #20 in Hadou and Bakudou, and up to #10 in Bougyoudou and Chiyudou. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
- Low Ranking Officer: They can now lead unseated officers on missions and are becoming more well known in their own Divisions.
Seventeenth Seated Officer
- Sealed zanpakutou: These officers still do not have access to their shikai yet, however they can now understand what their sword's spirit is saying to them, besides their name.
- Kidou adept: They have access to Kidou under #30 for Hadou and Bakudou, and under #20 for Bougyoudou and Chiyudou. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
- Rising Officer: by now some of your Divisionmates should be taking note of your rising star. You are being put in charge of more important missions and are depended on to be a role model for Unseated Officers.
Fifteenth Seated Officer
- Shikai: You've finally heard your zanpakutou's name and can now call it out in combat. You can come up with your own shikai powers and abilities, however they will be permanant. Remember to use the Bleach canon as reference, as you may be asked to tone back your shikai a bit if it's too over-the-top.
- Kidou user: Able to use kidou spells under #40 for hadou and bakudou, and under #30 for bougyoudou and chiyudou. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
- Full officer: You are now a full fledged member of the Division and are looked upon by all to maintain a higher degree of excellence.
Tenth Seated Officer:
- Shikai: Your power is increasing and you can now use your shikai for longer, dealing more powerful attacks.
- Kidouist: Can use up to #50 of any type of spell. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
- Slow Shunpo: Can use a basic, but untrained, flash step. Practicing makes perfect, however.
- Officer in charge: By now you have risen high enough to be put in charge of a Division's special operations. This may include hollow-hunting, special investigations, or anything that your character is best suited for.
- Potential: You can now create a unique special power for your character to use. This can be anything outside of the realm of your zanpakutou, such as being able to control insects, telepathy, the ability to sprout wings, or anything. Just keep others in mind when you do it (ie: no mind controlling stuff) and be original.
Fifth Seated Officer
- Shikai: Your powers are quite strong now and you are among the top members of your Division, but the next step is a long way away. You'd best begin training if you wish to recieve your bankai this millennium.
- Kidouphile: Can use up to #60 of all four spell sets. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
- Shunpo: Your shunpo has been trained and mastered and you can now use it freely without issue.
- Respected Officer: Your Division looks up to you, and even some outside of your division know of you and your exploits.
Fourth Seated Officer
- Shikai: Your powers are still growing stronger and you are now powerful enough to handle most types of average hollows below Menos Grande.
- Kidou nut: Can use kidou up to #75 from all four lists. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
- Fast Shunpo: Your shunpo speed is increased and you can outrun most average users below you.
- Advisor: You are strong enough now that you may be called upon by your Captain to be an advisor, or be placed in charge of special missions. You are expected to help those under you to grow and improve.
Potential 2: You can now create a second unique ability. Same rules as the first apply.
Third Seated Officer
- Bankai Training: You can begin petitioning your Captain and Vice Captain for bankai training which will occur over the course of three collabs. The means which the training occurs is depandant on your teacher. Once you pass, you will be able to unlock your bankai and create it. Same rules as shikai apply.
- Kidou expert: You can use up to #80 kidou spells from all four lists. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
- Lightning Shunpo: Your shunpo speed is above and beyond all besides Captains and Vice Captains.
- Highest Ranking Officer: You are the highest numbered seat in your Division and are respected by those below you and trusted by those above you. You are on the cusp of becoming a leader in your own right and will begin grooming to become a Vice Captain soon.
Vice Captain
- Imperfect Bankai: You have reached bankai, but it is still not perfected. You will need to keep training in order to hone it properly. Ask your Captain for help. You are strong enough to fight even the hardened of Menos Grande.
- Kidou Master: You can use up to #90 kidou spells of all four list now. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
- Ghost Shunpo: Your shunpo is too fast for anyone except your fellow Vice Captains and Captains to see.
- Potential #3: You gain yet another unique power. Same rules apply as before.
- Nobody Closer: You are one of your Captains closest and most trusted friends. You have been given this position because you have proved yourself worthy of it in their eyes and the bond you share will grow to become unbreakable. Your Captain will look upon you just as much as the rest of your Division for inspiration.
Captain
- Bankai: You have mastered your bankai and shikai fully and can now begin exploring your zanpakutou's deeper secrets... You are unmatched in power and are powerful enough to fight anything. Only the mighty Arrancar stand equal with you.
- Lightspeed Shunpo: You move so fast that even your Vice Captain wonders if you exist within the same dimension as them.
- Kidou Legend: You can now access the forbidden Kidou and use all spells from all four lists. casualrp.wikia.com/wiki/Kidou_Spells
- Figurehead: You are in charge. You lead your Division and guide them to greatness. Everyone looks up to you and you are expected to uphold the Gotei's highest duties and traditions.
- Potential Unlocked: You gain your fourth and generally final unique ability.
Soutaicho
Current Soutaicho: Not Yet Named. Stay Tuned.
- Soutaicho is a special rank denoting the individual who becomes the leader of the Gotei 13. The Soutaicho cannot also be the Kenpachi and cannot give up the position to become Kenpachi.
- CaptainPlus:The Soutaicho is much more powerful than the average Captain and is believed to be as strong as the Kenpachi.
- GM Only Rank: Only a Game Master may reach Soutaicho, or control the Soutaicho directly. Others may use the Soutaicho as a side character as needed, but cannot direct their actions.
Kenpachi
Current Isshinverse Kenpachi: Orion/Kaji Zecht
- There can be only one at a time, within or outside of the Gotei 13 organization. The Kenpachi may not also be the Soutaicho, but can give up the Kenpachi title to become Soutaicho.
- To become Kenpachi, the previous Kenpachi must either be killed or give up the title and the new Kenpachi must be a current Gotei 13 Captain.
- The Kenpachi is much stronger than the average Captain, and the difference in strength between the Kenpachi and Soutaicho is hard to tell.
- Once named Kenpachi, the character does not need to remain in the Gotei. They can be presumed dead or rogue, but if they actually are killed, the title will move on.
- GM Pick: After the death of the character or the giving up of the title, the Game Managers will choose the next Kenpachi.

This can be changed or added to at any time as we develop it. For the moment, consider this page a WIP.
